1991-1992 Often described as ther golden era of house, where up and coming DJs, who are now household names cut their teeth with seminal tracks on legendary early independant labels. Labels like Nu Groove records, Strictly Rhythm, Nervous records, House Jam, Murk and Clubhouse records. DJ’s like Kenny Dope Gonzales, Little Louie Vega, David Morales, DJ Pierre, Mark Kitchen and the Burrell Brothers, all stamped their mark on vinyl during this time. I was an avid collector of these labels, so this mix pays homage to those years. Each 12″ single came well equipped with a multitude of mixes, I have picked my favourites and put them together as a snapshot of the sound from that era. Enjoy.
